First Anniversary with Oishii Eats

Work has been nuts. And moving during this hectic month of work has proved that thing's couldn't be worse. But my highlight in July was cooking a dinner for our anniversary. I can't get into it, so I'll let J do the talking, or writing, that is. Congratulations J. This has been a frustrating yet rewarding year, and I thank you for being by my side.

***Note. If you start any more petty wars, like whether the overall tone of my photos is too yellow, your next anniversary dinner will be inspired by whatever coupons I find. Hehe.

Hama Hama Oysters with Mignonette

Crab Endive Salad with Honey Lemon Vinaigrette

Shrimp Ravioli with Salmon Roe and Mushroom Cream Reduction

Maine Lobster Crepe with Pancetta & Vanilla Bean Sauce

New Zealand Lamb Ribs with Lentil Quenelle and Mango Relish

Seared Duck Breast with Raspberry Guwerztraminer Reduction

Perhaps you guys could start FooDate or F-ate; a site that joins single bloggers through meals at buffets, tofu houses and home-cooked, oyster-filled meals.

haha...just laughing at jen's comment above...

anyhow, just had to say that it was a smart idea to direct everyone to jen's page b/c she did a great job showcasing the food & wine.

happy anniversary to you both~

Snap D, that meal looks amazing. What's the third picture of? Ah, competition in relationships are great aren't they? I was just arguing with Mayo this afternoon about the importance of chives...and look at your beautiful pictures- full o' chives!

Heh, when I cook for my hubby he never posts about them on his blog. I think it's really cute that you guys are so close and how food brought you two together. Congrats on the anniversary :)

Hi J, did i ever tell you that your icon is too blue?

FM, i heard there's something called lunchspark, which works in a similar manner. you're paired up with people of same culinary interests. pretty cool.

Han Nah, spelled with two words. thank you for stopping by!

DG, haha no i'm a homecook. but trust me, i felt like i was at the judge's table on our dinner night. she was very happy though. thank you!

SteamyK, thank you!

Saucesupreme, thank you for stopping by. =b

Furry Mayo, hi you guys are alive? haha. i love that you two had a heated argument over chives. Chives are critical!

WC, thank you.

Eastside Eats, hey i have no problem with coupons haha. most girls do though.

Hi Jaded! We're really happy that we met through food. Before we even met, we could tell a lot about one another by what we ate.

Dad, hey thanks!

Aubrey, thanks for stopping by.

Hi Rasa! Sure, email me anytime and I'll be glad to provide the recipes. I'm just too lazy to write out msmt's and ingredients ha.

Congrats to you two. Can't think of a cuter couple (at least on the blogsphere) to be jealous of. ;)

Here's to a lifetime of good eating (together).

The photo of the oysters is perhaps one of the best food photos I've ever seen.

I used to be anti-Gewurztraminer as well but if you get a really good one and it works with the food, well...

Though once I had a very old Riesling (the sugar evaporates) at Per Se and it was divine.

wow! why don't you just start your own restaurant. your dishes and food pics put all the stuff i've ever tried to "cook" to shame! i love the long version of the story on j's post...you are definitely in trouble with that "petty wars" comment! lol.
