Random Food Stuff #1

Jeni from Oishii Eats inspired me to create a new section dedicated to videos, particularly in the realm of cooking. This first clip is one of many Japanese instructional tips and tricks. Enjoy.

How to Peel A Cooked Potato

(1) Score potato with paring knife and boil till desired doneness.
(2) Shock in cold, icy water for 10 seconds.
(3) Slowly pull apart the skin. Voila.

I love Japanese food shows. They really are instructive, and they are soo cute! I just want to attack the food preparers and hug 'em to bits!

Very informative, and also very strange, but in that excellent, where have you been all my life, sort of way.

PE, i love them too. they always have those dorky blue aprons on and the words that come up on the screen are always in like pink, cartoon-like font. haha, you're so funny. i can see you being removed by security on the set of the "How to peel an egg with only your elbow" show.

Nosh, hello, thanks for stopping by. Completely strange right? It's also scary that someone spent the time figuring this out. If the Japanese can save even ONE MINUTE in their daily tasks, they will aspire to find the solution.

Jeni, i have to find some more of these instructional videos. maybe when i go to japan in April, I'll buy a bunch of them. i can do the Star Shoes thing where they play a random video, mute it, and add cool music.

Dylan...I'm so jealous that you're going to Japan! What cities are you going to?
